Servers HPE ProLiant in Alsace : dimension and prepare your infrastructure

Round or rack server: Agedis prepare the equipment HPE with applications, data, virtualization and maintenance conditions.

Products for concrete situations.

The choice of server is made with the services that must continue to operate: business applications, files, directory and virtual machines. The HPE partner relationship of Cloudlab, of which Agedis is the IT brand, is based on an agreement signed in 2021. We prepare projects based on the real environment, the necessary storage and the means of recovery. The families below provide format references; the exact configuration is defined in the proposal.

Cloudlab, of which Agedis is the IT brand, has signed a HPE partner agreement. Configurations and support conditions are defined for each infrastructure.

A tour server for the company website

HPE ProLiant ML

The ML family offers tower or convertible servers depending on the model. It is designed for an office or site that must host its services locally. The sizing takes into account the applications, the expected development and the physical installation conditions: location, ventilation, power supply and maintenance access.

To be prepared: server roles, storage, users and technical premises.

HPE ProLiant DL

The DL family is designed for rack installations. It is prepared with the bay, the network and the computing or virtualization needs. Memory, storage, power supplies and support are chosen with the loads to be accommodated; the rack format is not enough to define continuity of service.

To be prepared: virtual machines, bay, network and recovery targets.

With Agedis

From the choice of product to its daily use.

Agedis prepares IT configuration and monitoring, with accounts, software, data and users.

Inventory and size

Identify applications, volumes and dependencies. Observe the uses of what exists to prepare memory, storage and possibilities for development.

Build the migration

Provide for the resumption of services, backups and checks with users. The changeover schedule and the possibility of return are defined before the intervention.

Preparing the life of the server

Document the configuration, administrative access and support conditions adopted. Organize maintenance and restoration tests with the agreed monitoring scope.

Questions to prepare.

Should you choose a tower server or a rack?

The choice depends on the premises, the number of equipment and the possibilities for development. It is prepared with installation constraints and maintenance needs.

Does disk redundancy replace backup?

Hardware redundancy and backup address different risks. It is also necessary to prepare suitable copies and verify the restoration of data and services.
