Resuming the Company's History

Switching to management software involves preserving information that is still used in daily work. In this file, a specialized partner Odoo completed the recovery of the accounting history, including the financial years since 2014. The data came from the previous management tool. The conservation of old accounting documents also remained a point of attention: reusing information in a new system does not replace the organization of the company's archives.

Support the first month of operation

The work was not limited to data transfer. The partner discussed sales, purchasing and accounting with the team, then deepened the initial learnings during the following month of use. The assistance needs were concrete: making entries, taking over the cash register, following the regulations and supporting the bank lettering. These situations show how the appropriation of the software continues in real management actions, beyond the first presentation of the functions.

Keep roles clearly identified

At the end of the accounting integration, the partner remained the specialist Odoo contact. The current accompaniment was to continue in the context of the assistance booklets Agedis. This articulation combines an identified application competence and a follow-up organisation for the client. It gives continuity between the initial project and the questions that then appear, while maintaining a reference for the software and distinguishing the requests for assistance from the new developments to be studied.

Distinguish existing uses from future developments

Certain subjects remained to be explored in greater depth. The VAT declaration aspect still had to be discussed with the team, and a possible resumption of old quotes and orders required specifying the need and then preparing a proposal. These additions are not to be confused with the completed accounting integration. This historical file illustrates a collaboration where each stage retains its scope: data collected, first month supported, ongoing assistance and new requests to be defined with the company.
