Start from your environment.
A hosted service must remain understandable to the company that uses it: where are the useful functions, who manages the systems, and how do employees access them? Agedis accompany you to prepare this organization. The project starts with the relevant uses, applications and data, and then specifies the resources, connections and responsibilities necessary to operate the services chosen in your work environment.
The roles complement each other around this project. Agedis works on servers, systems and IT operations; Cloudlab provides the data center component, that is to say the environment hosting infrastructure and data. This articulation makes it possible to link user needs to accommodation choices. Depending on the service, preparation may also involve messaging, external backups or moving an existing application environment.

Starting from uses
Applications, files and consultation modes guide the choices. It is necessary to identify the people concerned, the technical dependencies and the access constraints from the sites or devices used.
Preparing for the passage
An evolution towards external accommodation requires looking at the current environment and destination. Resources, accesses and audit steps are defined prior to commissioning.
Clarify tracking
Systems administration, backups and user support may fall under different scopes. The offer must specify the services retained and the contact persons responsible for each.
Choose the service to move before choosing the cloud
A business application, file space and email address different uses. We look at what needs to be kept, people who access it, and dependencies on the network or other software. The choice between online service, hosted server and maintenance of local equipment is based on these elements.
The budget should reconcile subscriptions, licenses, recovery work and expected operation. Access, data recovery possibilities and exit conditions must also be clarified. A hosted solution does not exempt you from deciding who monitors the system and who supports users.
Separate data center, system and application
Cloudlab provides data center expertise and hosting base. Agedis prepares the systems and uses: accounts, server services, data, messaging and workstation access. The publisher or application partner maintains an identified role on its software. Dtouch can complete a project that requires specific integration or development.
This distribution helps organize interventions and requests for assistance. Difficulty opening a session does not require the same diagnosis as unavailability of hosting or an anomaly in a business function. Observations and responsibilities are reconciled during project preparation.
Organize the transition with users
The migration must specify the content to be transferred, the accounts to prepare and the devices to configure. The steps can combine a preliminary copy, a transfer then checks in the target environment. The schedule is agreed with those responsible in order to take into account the activity and external stakeholders.
The controls relate to expected uses: finding a file, launching the application, opening email or working in a remote session. The points still open are followed after the switch. Our virtualized server migration case describes these different dimensions, including an adjustment after reported slowness.
Maintain control of data and monitoring
The project can formalize the list of services, account ownership, backup methods and the support circuit. Questions of conservation and restoration must be asked explicitly. An online service offering and an external copy of data are not the same.
We also prepare changes: addition of a user, change of license, increase in capacity or departure of a service provider. The reversibility conditions and the information necessary for a recovery are examined in the proposal, with the constraints of the chosen service.
Your questions
What a difference between Agedis and Cloudlab ?
Agedis supports IT and server systems. Cloudlab carries the data center component. Their skills can be coordinated in the same accommodation project.
Can we keep part of the IT on our premises?
The project can study several distributions depending on the applications and needs. Connections and exchanges between environments must then be prepared.
Is the cloud replacing all on-premises servers?
The choice depends on applications, uses, access and operating constraints. An organization can combine hosted services and local equipment; we look at dependencies before proposing an architecture.
Who to contact when a hosted application no longer works?
The support circuit is defined with responsibilities: hosting, system and application. A contact person can collect symptoms and coordinate checks with the relevant providers.
